The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 price is $69.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Vault on the US PlayStation and Xbox listings checked on October 20, 2026. A separate Vault upgrade has a suggested US retail price of $30 or the regional equivalent. These are edition prices, not a universal total for every country, retailer, tax situation, or optional purchase.
Standard contains the full base game. Vault adds operator packs, weapon blueprints, one season of BlackCell, and a DMZ Deployment Bonus. Qualifying digital Standard and Vault preorders both include the stated Campaign and DMZ early-access benefits, so Vault is not required simply to play those modes early.
Current US edition prices
Use the currency, region, platform, and product type together when comparing an offer. A low number attached to an upgrade, an older Call of Duty game, or another region is not the price of a complete US Modern Warfare 4 license.
| Product | US listed or suggested price | Base game included | Main condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 Standard | $69.99 | Yes | PS5 game license |
| PS5 Vault | $99.99 | Yes | Digital premium edition |
| Xbox Standard | $69.99+ | Yes | Store listing may include optional in-app purchases |
| Xbox Vault | $99.99+ | Yes | Digital premium edition |
| Vault upgrade | $30 suggested retail price | No separate base license | Requires eligible Digital Standard ownership |
The Xbox plus sign accompanies its store presentation of a product with optional purchases. It should not be read as a precise statement about every buyer's tax or checkout total. Use the final store checkout to confirm the amount charged to the purchasing account.
US console listings do not establish a verified Steam or Battle.net price for every region. Likewise, a UK Xbox amount in pounds should not be relabeled as US dollars or silently converted into a claimed official US price. Compare the same edition and currency before deciding whether two offers differ.
What Standard buys
Standard includes the full Modern Warfare 4 base game for the selected platform. The game is built around Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ. It is the appropriate starting point if your goal is access to those modes rather than a collection of premium items.
Digital Standard preorders include Campaign Early Access from October 16 and DMZ Early Access from October 20, subject to outages, timezone differences, and platform availability. The two dates are separate benefits. They do not establish a Multiplayer early-access window or an earlier general launch than October 23.
Other digital preorder benefits include the Hunter Killer Operator Skin, Gilded Pearl Camo Pack, and Inner Circuit M4 Weapon Blueprint under their individual redemption terms. Some benefits can be used in Black Ops 7 or Warzone before Modern Warfare 4 launches, while their Modern Warfare 4 use begins at launch. Do not assume that every item appears in every game at the moment of purchase.
Physical editions contain the full base game on the selected console, but the digital preorder benefits should not automatically be attached to every physical offer. If early access or an upgrade route determines your decision, read the format-specific conditions before choosing a retail copy.
What the Vault premium adds
Vault includes Digital Standard and its applicable preorder incentives, plus five premium categories. Compare these categories to what you actually want rather than treating a larger item count as an automatic reason to buy the more expensive edition.

| Vault extra | Included content | Availability distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Hostile Alliance Operator Pack | Skins for Price, Valeria, Ghost, and Blix | Modern Warfare 4 at launch; Warzone from Season 1 |
| Special Forces Operator Pack | Four operators representing France, Germany, South Korea, and the United Kingdom | Modern Warfare 4 at launch; Warzone from Season 1 |
| Signature Weapon Collection | Five named weapon blueprints | Modern Warfare 4 at launch; Warzone from Season 1 |
| BlackCell | One season of the premium Battle Pass offering | Subject to season availability |
| DMZ Deployment Bonus | An extra Active Duty slot and a Deployment Kit | A DMZ benefit rather than another game license |
Hostile Alliance provides two variants each for Price and Valeria, alongside Ghost and Blix skins. Special Forces includes COM SFT, KSK Amphibious, South Korean Special Forces, and SAS operators with their associated skins and voice packs. These are specific premium contents, not a claim that Standard omits the underlying Campaign, Multiplayer, or DMZ modes.

The Signature Weapon Collection includes Voltspine for the Kastov 762, La Sombra Venenosa for the ISO Nightshade, Shattered Code for the Rezi 12, Volt Edge for the Oris 8.6, and Sombra Besada for the Combat Knife. If only one item interests you, assess the bundle price on that basis rather than assuming all five have equal value to your playstyle.
BlackCell is one season
Vault's BlackCell inclusion applies to one season, not every future Battle Pass. For a preorder or prepurchase, it becomes available with the Season 1 Battle Pass. For a purchase or upgrade after launch, the terms describe a grant at the start of the first new season after the transaction.
The offering includes 1,100 COD Points, 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips, exclusive BlackCell content, and access to the associated full Battle Pass. The seasonal availability condition still applies to the listed instant unlocks: the purchase does not make the Season 1 system available before that season exists in the game.
This timing matters if you are comparing the bundle with a later upgrade. Decide whether you want the season that your transaction will receive, and verify the applicable store description at checkout. Do not count the inclusion as an unlimited subscription or a permanent entitlement to every BlackCell release.
The DMZ Deployment Bonus
Vault grants one additional Active Duty slot and a Deployment Kit containing two of each of the following: Weapon Insurance Contracts, Operator Rescue Beacons, Fulton Drop Markers, Medium Backpacks, and 2-Plate Carriers.
Those items are distinct from buying access to DMZ. Standard includes the base game, and qualifying digital Standard preorders also receive the October 20 DMZ early-access benefit. A buyer who wants the mode but does not want the listed additional supplies should keep those decisions separate.
The kit description does not establish unlimited replacements, permanent protection from loss, or a quantified progression advantage. Price comparisons should use the actual listed contents rather than an invented monetary value for each item or a promised gameplay result.
Upgrading later
Digital Standard owners can upgrade through the Call of Duty in-game store or the applicable platform store. The upgrade's suggested US retail price is $30, with regional equivalents elsewhere. It is an addition to an eligible Standard purchase, not a cheaper standalone way to obtain the game.
Physical editions cannot be upgraded to Vault under the stated terms. That makes the purchase format consequential: buying a disc and assuming that the digital upgrade will work later is not the same plan as buying Digital Standard.
Before buying an upgrade, check that the store is using the account and platform where Standard is owned. Then confirm that the product is the Vault upgrade rather than the complete Vault edition. Purchasing the full edition again and purchasing an upgrade are different transactions, even if both pages show the same premium content.
Check the loyalty discount before paying
A 10% loyalty discount applies to eligible Vault preorders or prepurchases through participating official platform stores until October 23, 2026, subject to the offer terms. It does not apply to Vault upgrades.
Eligibility requires ownership and play of a qualifying Call of Duty title on the same platform account used for the new purchase. Qualifying titles include Modern Warfare from 2019, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7. Free-to-play or mobile ownership does not substitute for the specified requirement.
The terms also cover qualifying titles claimed and played through PlayStation Plus Monthly Games. Eligible active Game Pass subscribers who played a qualifying title can receive the discount through the applicable Xbox purchase route. An active subscription alone does not establish that the play requirement has been met.
For an eligible account, the discount should appear before checkout. If it does not, resolve the eligibility or storefront issue before confirming payment. Do not assume the discount is a universal sale or that an upgrade can be combined with the same offer.
Costs outside the edition price
Console online services are separate from owning the game. Online modes require the applicable subscription, such as PlayStation Plus on PS5 or the required Xbox online service on Xbox consoles. Optional in-game purchases are also separate from the listed Standard or Vault price.
Game Pass does not include Modern Warfare 4 at launch; inclusion is planned for Holiday 2027. An Xbox cloud-play option also requires ownership of the game alongside an eligible subscription. A cloud label should not be interpreted as a free base-game license.
On PC, check compatibility before buying. TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are required, and the launch storage requirement is an SSD with 115 GB available, with extra space potentially needed for updates. A discount does not solve a hardware or security incompatibility.
Compare offers in the right order
- Confirm that the product is the 2026 Modern Warfare 4, rather than Call of Duty 4 or an earlier reboot entry.
- Match the platform and account where you intend to play.
- Identify whether the offer contains Standard, the complete Vault edition, or only an upgrade.
- Check the currency and store region before comparing numbers.
- Verify digital or physical eligibility for the benefits you want.
- Check whether the loyalty discount appears for the actual purchasing account.
- Review subscription needs, optional extras, and the final checkout amount.
That sequence produces a usable purchase comparison: the correct license, the desired extras, the applicable conditions, and the real amount shown before payment.
